Description
The left lung has been cut parallel to the hilum and shows, on the lower lobe particularly, a scant
pleural exudate. The cut surface shows an extensive bronchopneumonia involving the greater part
of each lobe; in the upper lobe particularly there are several small rather poorly defined areas of
early abscess formation. The lower portion of each lobe of the specimen appears to be free of
disease.
